Convenience is the main reason to buy this. The electric pump sends water through the filters quickly, so filling a glass or bottle is a press-and-wait job rather than watching a gravity chamber slowly empty.
The rechargeable battery also means it does not need to live next to a socket. In a kitchen, caravan or office, that makes it much easier to put wherever it actually fits.
What the filter does — and does not do
The dual cartridges are designed to reduce contaminants and unwanted taste while keeping useful minerals. It is not a reverse-osmosis machine and it is not sold as a TDS-reduction system, which is worth understanding before buying.
For someone who mainly wants tap water to taste better and be more convenient to dispense, it makes a lot of sense. If you want chilled water or a plumbed-in system, this is not that product.
