The metal shells, detachable cable and separate drivers make the Z3 feel far more expensive than a typical budget wired earphone. They sound clear and punchy, but the weight and cable will not suit everyone.

The shells are made from metal and the cable feels properly built. If the cable is ever damaged it detaches from the earpieces, so you do not need to throw away the whole set.
That metal construction also adds weight, which is why the cable loops over the ears. Once the fit is right they stay secure, but they are less forgettable in the ear than a tiny plastic pair.
How they sound
Each side uses a 10mm driver for bass and a smaller 6mm driver for the rest of the sound. The result is clear vocals with a punchy low end, helped by the strong seal from the metal shells and ear tips.
They are a good reminder that wired audio can still deliver a lot for the money. The trade-off is obvious: there is a cable attached to you, and anyone used to wireless earbuds will notice that immediately.
